East New York residents are in for four days of music, culture, and community wellness as the third Annual East New York Concert & Wellness Series returns this month. Co-founded by New York State Assemblywoman Nikki Lucas and in partnership with Councilman Chris Banks and legendary DJ Watkins & Friends, the free outdoor event will take place Thursday, September 18 through Sunday, September 21, 2025, along Van Siclen Avenue between Vandalia Avenue and Schroeders Avenue.

According to the press release, the series aims to highlight East New York’s rich talent and culture while connecting attendees with vital community resources.
“East New York has always been a community full of talent, energy, and culture, and this Concert & Wellness Series is a perfect example of what happens when we come together to celebrate who we are,” said Assemblywoman Lucas. “This event is not only about the music — it’s about unity, wellness, and creating a safe space for families, young people, and seniors to enjoy world-class performances right here in the 60th Assembly District.”
Councilman Chris Banks emphasized the event’s role in fostering community spirit. “We are proud to continue this tradition of unity, wellness, and celebration right here in East New York. This series highlights the best of who we are as a community.”
Four Days of Music & Entertainment
The series features a diverse lineup for every musical taste:
Thursday, September 18 (5 PM – 9 PM) – Caribbean & Latin Night
- This night will feature Saucy Wow Belfon, Giro Lopez, Bascom X, Denise Belfon, Luci Martin, and Norma Jean Wright, former lead vocalists of Chic.
Friday, September 19 (5 PM – 9 PM) – House Music Night
- A night with DJs Kervyn Mark, T-Groove, and DJ Groove spinning the decks.
Saturday, September 20 (1 PM – 9 PM) – Hip-Hop, R&B & Reggae Night
- This night will be headlined by Evelyn Champagne King, Brand Nubian, Kenny Bobien, Strafe, Kool Rock Ski (of The Fat Boys), Grand Master Dee (Whodini), and more, with DJs Just-Nice, Flowdak, Skip, SkiZ, and Mel E Mel.
Sunday, September 21 (1 PM – 6 PM) – Gospel & Jazz Night
- Closing the four-day event with Hezekiah Walker, James Hall, Rob & King Skip, Nakisha Smith, and Friends & Strangers Band.
Wellness Initiatives and Community Support

In addition to performances, attendees will have access to wellness initiatives and community resources provided by NYPD, FDNY, Food Bazaar, Fusion East Caribbean Soul Restaurant, and New Wave Dance. The series will be hosted by Blahzay Blahzay and Bobby Konders.
The event is free and open to the public, offering Brooklyn residents a unique opportunity to enjoy live music, celebrate local culture, and connect with wellness programs in their neighborhood.
