From sunrise to sunset, Linden Houses’ open spaces were bustling with activity. While some children risked a steep rock-climbing wall, others joyously bounced in a colorful inflatable bouncy house. Residents enjoyed delicious cuisine from local vendors, chatted with friends and neighbors, and danced to upbeat music.
In addition, the Mayor’s NeighborhoodStat initiative took part in the festivities by offering kid-friendly activities and family resources. With the goal of increasing community safety and involvement, the program gave young participants a chance to learn while having fun.
Council Member Chris Banks Shows Support
During the celebrations, City Council Member Chris Banks made a special visit to present a $3,500 check from his discretionary fund to the Linden Houses Resident Association. In order to ensure the sustainability of events like Family Day, the funds will be utilized to support the association’s ongoing projects and operations.
Banks praised the Resident Association’s dedication, pointing out that these kinds of events strengthen, secure, and unite communities.
