March 23, 2017- This year, Girls in Politics Initiative™ is hosting their Camp Congress for Girls leadership program in NYC. The program introduces girls ages 9 to 15 to the world of US government and politics, teaching them using creative, hands-on activities and lessons.

At the camp, girls will be taught the US political system. With this knowledge, they will then choose to run for either the US House of Representatives, the US Senate, or for the presidency. For their campaigns, they will create their own campaign platform, slogan, finance plan, marketing materials, and political ad. Afterwards, all campers will register and vote in their own election.

The program is on Sat, April 1, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., located at 525 Lexington Avenue New York , NY. The registration fee for the camp is $160 and the Girl Scout registration fee is $120. This includes all program materials and lunch. No refunds given unless the session is canceled or rescheduled.
