The ownership of Starrett City received legal approval to change hands, with the final hurdle being state approval, which should not stop the the process. Residents of Starrett City (Spring Creek) have expressed concern regarding the impact this change will have on their rent, property maintenance, and their overall quality of life.
Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, will host a Town Hall Meeting to discuss these issues, along with East New York District Leader Nikki Lucas and NY State Senator Roxanne Persaud. A panel of legal and policy experts will also be on hand to answer questions.
